Fairies & The Innocence & Imagination Of Childhood

I know it's been a while since I have posted here, but I'm trying to make it up to you by sharing about a blog post by another blogger I found named Andi over at Poot & Cubby who made a truly beautiful blog post called And I Held Fairies In My Hands.

It is a truly wonderful, beautifully written blog post about the dreams and belief of children and, as she wrote about her daughter's truly innocent belief in the magic of fairies, I couldn't help but think of my little 4 year old and 6 year old daughters.

Fairy Gift Shop

While browsing the Internet, I came across this enchanting little fairy gift shop.

It's got some really lovely fairy gifts, such as figurines, stencils, jewelry and books which are all fairy-themed.

Fairy Pictures

My daughters love dressing up as fairies, so we keep some costumes on hand for them to play with from time to time.

Make Your Puppy Into A Fairy

I found this site that teaches you how to make a fairy costume (wings) for your puppy. I'm assuming the wings would look as good on a cat too (although my cat would never forgive me if I tried to dress him in fairy wings).

How to Make Fairy Wings

I searched the web for ways to make fairy wings for my daughters and this site was by far the best one I came across: http://hubpages.com/hub/fairywings

It makes the process very simple and straightforward. The materials needed for it don't look very expensive either.

My six year old and 3 year old daughters love to dress up as fairies, but I am unimpressed by the fairy wings that usually come with the costumes. Making our own seems like a great solution!

How To Make A Fairy Garden

Found this site about how to make a fairy garden: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Faerie-Garden

I think I might do this with my 6 year old and 3 year old. They lopve anything to do with fairies and would love the idea of making a fairy garden. It'll have to wait for nicer weather though.
